getting married in turks and caicos

The North Shore offers a spectacular year round climate, wonderful beaches and excellent snorkelling and diving opportunities. Located on the island of Providenciales in the Caicos group of islands the North Shore is the main tourist centre for the Turks and Caicos Islands. This stunning area has amazing white sand beaches including the beautiful 12 mile long beach at Grace Bay. Set beside an extensive coral reef, the snorkelling and diving around the North Shore is something you won't want to miss. In the clear waters you can see multi-coloured sponges, schooling fish, turtles and rays.

The North Shore is a place to relax and unwind on the beach or enjoy a spa treatment. For the more energetic you can take advantage of the many water sports, enjoy a round of golf or an island excursion. Take a heritage walk or a guided tour of a plantation house. Visit Chalk Sound or enjoy views overlooking Sapodilla Bay and see the engravings of shipwrecked sailors. Princess Alexandra Marine Park is home to the island’s very own local Bottlenose Dolphin, JoJo, if you are very lucky she will even come and play with you. Other attractions include The Bamboo Gallery and Ports of Call shopping centre. The North Shore is a unique and spectacular holiday destination.

providenciales

getting married in turks and caicos

The Turks and Caicos Islands consist of two main groups of islands, Providenciales, is located in the Caicos island group. Only 8 of the 40 very different islands and cays that make up this British Crown Colony, are inhabited, but all offer a spectacular year round climate, wonderful beaches and excellent snorkelling and diving opportunities. Providenciales, known locally as ‘Provo', is the main tourist centre and features amazing white sand beaches including the beautiful 12 mile long beach at Grace Bay. The north shore of the island has a long coral reef, the most beaches and is home to most of the island’s resorts. Chalk Sound is located towards the south of Providenciales, and features striking turquoise waters and an array of small cays. On the hilltop overlooking Sapodilla Bay, you can find stones engraved by shipwrecked sailors from times past. The south part of the island faces the Caicos Bank, which is a shallow area of mangrove swamp and tidal flats that are home to an abundance of conch and lobster.

With one of the world's most extensive coral reefs, the snorkelling and diving is something you simply will not want to miss. You can see multi-coloured sponges, schooling fish, turtles and rays. There are many dives sites where you could see whale sharks, dolphins, and humpback whales in season. Providenciales is a place to relax and unwind on the beach or for the more energetic you can take advantage of the many water sports, enjoy a round of golf or an excursion. Princess Alexandra Marine Park is home to the island’s very own local Bottlenose Dolphin, JoJo, if you are very lucky she will even come and play with you. Other attractions include The Bamboo Gallery and Ports of Call shopping centre. The Turks and Caicos Islands are a sensational holiday destination where you can get away from it all and enjoy the serene beauty of a pristine island paradise.
